Casings are a robust kind of pipes to protect a Main or Service line. They are mostly used under Streets, Highways or Railroads.

1. In the Command Manager, select Casing from the Gas Mains group.
2. Click on the Place Feature Icon or double click on the selected Feature to start the placement command.

   

3. Click on the Line Segment Mode Icon.

   

4. Change the default property values as necessary in the Placement Form.

   

5. Click on a start location which can be a vertex of a line or somewhere in the middle of a line.
6. Place more data points to add vertices to the new Casing.
7. Right-Click (Reset) to stop the placement at the last vertex location.
8. Click at a location to place Annotation Text.
